Welcome to our Homeschool Student Profiles page. This page provides academic and personal information about our students and additional context regarding their homeschool education. The links to supporting documents located below highlight each student’s academic preparation, accomplishments, experiences, interests, and future aspirations.

Because we live in a rural area where Advanced Placement (AP) courses and examinations were not readily available, our students pursued dual-enrollment coursework directly through Mount St. Mary’s University. These courses provided a broader, more rigorous curriculum, opportunities for in-depth study, and valuable experience with university-level academics.

  • Academic Transcript — High school and dual-enrollment coursework, grades, and credits. Links to course descriptions and syllabi (where available) are included.

  • Résumé — Academic honors, research, leadership, service, extracurricular activities, and employment.

  • Student Biography — Background, interests, experiences, and accomplishments.

  • Career and Educational Goals — Intended areas of study, professional interests, and long-term aspirations.

  • Curriculum — Includes detailed information about courses taken by Emma and Sarah, e.g. course descriptions, syllabi, major projects, and reading lists.

We invite you to review these materials for a more complete picture of each student’s academic achievement, intellectual interests, leadership, and preparation for college and career.

Twins - great photo 2.png

This page is about us. We are the Simmons Homeschool students, Emma and Sarah Simmons.  We are not only sisters, we are TWINS!

We both enjoy learning about and "doing" science, engineering, and technology. We love how these fields can be creatively integrated to address the many challenges people face today, those in our community, throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and nationwide.

And what we are most interested in is veterinary medicine. We believe that by combining scientific research with innovative medical technologies, it is possible to significantly improve how animals are diagnosed and the treatment options.
